Why I chose to study UX Design
Greetings! Welcome to my blog post.
So you might be asking why would someone really wants to get into a field that is somewhat unknown to non tech individuals and those who know about it may not like UX designers because they add extra work to an ever expanding workload.
For those who are here and don’t know what UX Design is, you are not alone. I was right where you are at one point. The way I describe it to people is the process to make a product, be it an application or webpage, more accessible and usable for the people that use said product. Whether that be someone who is hard of hearing or sight to the average user who just needs a design that is more intuitive for easier navigation.
So with my definition out of the way, I can explain why I chose this field… I love puzzles. I love figuring out problems in both big picture and small picture format. I love working and communicating with people towards a shared goal. I love talking to people and finding out what they think and feel about pretty much everything. This discipline, with a background in art, design, psychology and business will bring all the elements of my skills together.
So is it going to be challenging? Yes. Will there be days that I look in the mirror and ask why? Always. Will I enjoy the ride and the challenge? Definitely.
